Makes 6 servings
- 1 pound smoked sausage, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 6 cups coarsely chopped cabbage
- 1 yellow onion, cut into ½-inch wedges
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon caraway seeds
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Cook and stir sausage in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 3 minutes or until brown ; transfer to plate.
- Heat oil in same skillet, add cabbage, onion, garlic, caraway seeds, salt and pepper ; cook and stir 5 minutes or until onion begins to brown.
- Add sausage ; cover and cook 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat ; let stand 5 minutes.
