Swedish meatballs

 
Serves 4

Meatballs
  • ½ pound ground beef
  • ½ pound ground pork
  • ½ cup dry bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup half-and half
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground allspice
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1 egg
  1. Mix all ingrédients ; shape mixture into thirty 1-inch balls.
  2. Cook in 10-inch skillet over medium heat about 20 minutes, turning occasionally, until brown.
  • 1 can (10¾ ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup half-and half
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg
  • ½ cup sour cream
  1. Drain the meatballs ; stir in soup, half-and half and nutmeg.
  2. Cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally ; stir in sour cream, heat through.
  3. Sprinkle with parsley if desired.
