Easy Tiramisù Dessert (Holiday inspiration)

 


                For coffee lovers, serve this dessert with freshly brewed Italian roast coffee and an assortment of fun coffee toppings like whipped cream, chocolate shavings, raw sugar, ground cinnamon and flavored liqueurs (such as almond, hazelnut, range or coffee).

Makes 12 servings

  • 1 package (10.75 oz) frozen pound cake, thawed and cut into 9 slices
  • ¾ cup strong-brewed coffee (room temperature)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup chocolate-flavored syrup
  • 1 package (8 oz) mascarpone cheese or cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups whipping (heavy) cream
  • 2 bars (1.4 oz each) chocolate-covered toffee candy, chopped
  1. In bottom of 11 x 7-inch glass baking dish, arrange cake slices, cutting slices if necessary to cover bottom of dish ; drizzle coffee over cake.
  2. In large bowl, beat sugar, chocolate syrup and cheese with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
  3. Add whipping cream ; beat on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  4. Spread over cake ; sprinkle with candy.
  5. Cover ; refrigerate at least 1 hour but no longer than 24 hours to set dessert and blend flavors.
