Maple Ginger Butterflied Pork Chops (Barbecue and Grilling)

 


                Make sure you don't over-grill these boneless pork chops. their internal temperature will continue to rise after you pull them off the grill.

Serves 4

  • 4 boneless pork chops, butterflied
Maple Ginger sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh gingerroot
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  1. Prepare a hot fire in your grill.
  2. Prepare the sauce, in a small bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients.
  3. Grill pork chops for 2 minutes per side ; baste with some of the sauce and grill for about 2 minutes per side, or until just a hint of pink remains inside.
  4. Serve with the remaining sauce on the side.

*Variation*
Grilled pork chop sandwiches
  1. Pound chops to about ¼ inch thick. 
  2. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes per side, basting with some of the sauce, until a hint of pink remains inside. 
  3. Brush cut side of sandwich buns with sauce and grill until toasted. 
  4. Garnish with thinly sliced red onion and the remaining sauce.
