Grilled guacamole (Barbecue and Grilling)

 


                Lightly grilling the avocado first deepens the flavor. Serve this with grilled tortillas or flatbread, fish, chicken, beef or pork.

                Grill the lime halves at the same time for a little bit more char flavor. Plus, you'll get more juice from the warm grilled lime.

Makes about 2 cups (500 ml)

  • 4 ripe avocados, halved and pitted
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely diced
  • 1 small red onion, finely diced
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Juice of 1 lime (or to taste)
  1. Prepare a hot fire in your grill.
  2. Grill avocados, cut side down, for 2 to 3 minutes, or until you have good grill marks ; peel and cut into chunks.
  3. In a bowl, mash together avocados, jalapeno, red onion, cilantro and lime juice.
  4. Serve immediately.
