Pecan spice drops (Cookies)

 


About 4 dozens

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon each ground cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine butter and sugar ; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition ; beat in vanilla.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, spices and salt ; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  3. Stir in pecans ; drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
  4. Bake at 350F for 12-14 minutes or until edges are firm ; remove to wire racks to cool.
