Cranberry chip cookies (Cookies)

 


                The tart cranberries blend beautifully with the sweet chocolate and vanilla chips.

About 9 dozens

  • ½ cup butter or margarine, softened
  • ½ cup shortening
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup vanilla chips
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugars ; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition ; beat in vanilla.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt ; gradually add to the cream mixture.
  3. Stir in the chips, cranberries and pecans ; drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
  4. Bake at 375F for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown ; cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
