8 skewers
- 1 onion, quartered
- ½ grilled bell pepper, homemade or store-bought
- 2 cloves garlic
- 60 ml fresh parsley, chopped
- 15 ml Dijon mustard
- 125 ml cheddar cheese, grated
- 450 g ground beef
- 1 egg
- 80 ml breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper
- Vegetable oil
- In a food processor, combine the onion, bell pepper, garlic, parsley, mustard and cheddar; grind to obtain a smooth purée.
- In a large bowl, combine the puree obtained with the ground beef, egg and breadcrumbs; knead well with your hands to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
- Shape meatballs around previously soaked wooden skewers.
- Coat the meat with vegetable oil and place the skewers on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes at 400F (200C) and turn the skewers halfway through cooking; serve.
