Beef and Cheddar Kebab

 


8 skewers

  • 1 onion, quartered
  • ½ grilled bell pepper, homemade or store-bought
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 60 ml fresh parsley, chopped
  • 15 ml Dijon mustard
  • 125 ml cheddar cheese, grated
  • 450 g ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 80 ml breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper
  • Vegetable oil

  1. In a food processor, combine the onion, bell pepper, garlic, parsley, mustard and cheddar; grind to obtain a smooth purée.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the puree obtained with the ground beef, egg and breadcrumbs; knead well with your hands to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Shape meatballs around previously soaked wooden skewers.
  4. Coat the meat with vegetable oil and place the skewers on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes at 400F (200C) and turn the skewers halfway through cooking; serve.
