Brussels Sprouts, Apples and Walnuts

 


4 servings

  • 20 medium-sized Brussels sprouts, cut in half
  • 30 ml melted butter
  • 15 ml sugar
  • 60 ml 100% natural apple juice
  • Salt and pepper
  • 125 ml walnuts (walnut kernels)
  • 60 ml chives, chopped

  1. In a bowl, combine the Brussels sprouts, melted butter, sugar and apple juice, season; place the sprouts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Cook at 400F (200C) for 15 minutes.
  3. Add the walnuts and chives; stir and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
  4. Serve.
