1.5 kg pork shoulder
Smoked seasoning
30 ml salt
60 ml sugar
15 ml sweet paprika
30 ml chili seasoning
15 ml garlic powder
15 ml mustard powder
15 ml fresh thyme, chopped
5 ml liquid smoke
60 ml vegetable oil
Mix all seasoning ingredients; rub the shoulder with the mixture.
Place the piece of meat in a baking dish, cover and cook at 300F (150C) for 2 hours; remove the lid and cook for another 1 hour.
Shred the meat using two forks.
Serve the pulled pork in a sandwich, in tacos, with fries or any other side that comes to mind and whets your appetite.
