About 6 dozens regular size cookies
- 1 cup margarine or butter, softened
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts
- 1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
- Heat oven to 375F.
- Mix margarine, sugars and egg in large bowl; stir in flour, baking soda and salt.
- Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
- Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet ; bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown (center will be soft).
- Cool slightly and remove from cookie sheet ; cool on a wire rack.
Chocolate Chip Bars
- Press dough in ungreased rectangle pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inches.
- Bake 22-25 minutes or until golden brown ; cool.
- Cut into about 3 x 1½-inch bars. (24 bars).
Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Drop dough by ¼ cupfuls about 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 12-15 minutes or until edges are set ; cool completely and remove from cookie sheet. (About 1½ dozens).
