This “Cookie” is a child’s dream come true.
A 14-inch pizza
- 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 2 eggs
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 12 ounce package of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- Topping (recipe follows)
- Preheat oven to 375 F (190 C).
- Mix flour, soda and salt in a bowl.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugars until well blended; beat eggs and vanilla extract.
- Add the dry ingredients, as well as the chocolate chips and nuts; pat into a 14-inch round pizza pan that has been sprayed with a nonstick coating.
- Cook for 25 minutes.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle topping over cookie crust and let sit 5 minutes, then stir with a spatula.
- Cool completely; cut into quarters before serving.
Topping
- 6 ounce package of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
- 1 cup pecan pieces
- Mix together the chocolate chips, marshmallows and pecans.
