Hot Crab Dip (Holiday inspiration)

 


Makes 20 servings (2 tablespoons dip and 4 crackers each)

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup white wine or apple juice
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 4 medium green onions, thinly sliced (¼ cup)
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 can (6 oz) crabmeat, drained, cartilage removed and flaked
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • Assorted crackers or fresh vegetables
  1. Heat oven to 375F (190C).
  2. In medium bowl, mix all ingredients except crabmeat, almonds and crackers until well blended ; stir in crabmeat.
  3. In ungreased 9-inch glass pie plate or shallow 1-quart casserole, spread the crabmeat mixture ; sprinkle with almonds.
  4. Bake uncovered 15 to 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly ; serve with crackers.
