- 1 uncooked 9-inch pie shell
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 2½ cups peeled, thinly sliced apples
- 1 cup canned pumpkin (or fresh if you do your own)
- Two-third cup evaporated milk
- 1 egg
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon ginger
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Pinch of cloves
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar and cinnamon, stir in the apples.
- Place mixture in the uncooked pie shell and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingrédients, mixing thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture over the apple mixture in the pie shell.
- Bake in 425F oven for 15 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 350F and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the filling is set.
- Cool on a rack and refrigerate leftovers.
