Traditional Swedish Meatballs (Keto for beginners)

 


For 4 servings

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons almond flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup coconut cream
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh dill
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  1. Preheat oven to 380F.
  2. In a bowl, combine beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper ; form meatballs from the mixture and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and bake until the meat cooks, 10-15 minutes ; remove the baking sheet.
  4. Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in almond flour until smooth ; gradually mix in broth, while stirring until thickened, 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in coconut cream and dill, simmer for 1 minute and stir in meatballs ; spoon the meatballs with sauce onto a serving platter and garnish with parsley.
