This English recipe is to adopt quickly because it is easy to make and delicious. Add a little strong mustard to the dough and sprinkle the delicacies with thyme before baking.
For 4 servings
- 2 rolls of puff pastry
- 500 g sausage meat
- 1 egg, beaten
- Preheat oven to 425F (220C); line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread the puff pastry on the work surface and cut out rectangles of approximately 6 x 7 cm.
- Place the sausage meat on one side of the rectangles of dough so that you can fold them easily later.
- Spread the egg over the rest of the strip of dough using a pastry brush and fold the dough over the sausage meat; paste by pressing lightly with your fingers.
- Place the delicacies on the plate; brush them with the rest of the beaten egg.
- Score the top of the cookies in two places using a knife.
- Bake for 20 minutes; enjoy hot or cold.
