Shrimp skewers with two paprikas

 


4 skewers

  • 20 medium shrimp, peeled
  • 30 ml fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

Lime and paprika marinade

  • 2 ml smoked paprika
  • 5 ml sweet paprika
  • 60 ml vegetable oil
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 15 ml brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt and pepper

  1. In a bowl, combine all the marinade ingredients; add the prawns and marinate in the fridge for at least an hour.
  2. Thread the prawns onto previously soaked wooden skewers.
  3. Grill the skewers for 3 to 4 minutes over high heat on the barbecue or in a ridged cast iron skillet and turn them halfway through cooking.
  4. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro; drizzle with lime juice and enjoy immediately.
