4 skewers
- 20 medium shrimp, peeled
- 30 ml fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Lime and paprika marinade
- 2 ml smoked paprika
- 5 ml sweet paprika
- 60 ml vegetable oil
- Juice of 1 lime
- 15 ml brown sugar
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- In a bowl, combine all the marinade ingredients; add the prawns and marinate in the fridge for at least an hour.
- Thread the prawns onto previously soaked wooden skewers.
- Grill the skewers for 3 to 4 minutes over high heat on the barbecue or in a ridged cast iron skillet and turn them halfway through cooking.
- Sprinkle with fresh cilantro; drizzle with lime juice and enjoy immediately.
