A simple French dessert.
Serves 8
- 3 eggs
- 1¼ cups milk
- Two-third cup all-purpose flour
- One-third cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- 1½ cups raspberries
- Confectioners' sugar
- Butter a 9-inch pie plate.
- In a small bowl beat the eggs with an electric mixer until foamy.
- Add the remaining ingredients except the raspberries and confectioners' sugar.
- Beat on low speed until smooth ; pour the batter into the prepared pie plate.
- Sprinkle the berries on top ; bake in a 350F (180C) oven for 45 minutes.
- Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar before serving.
